Pineapple Madness R2 is a project in the quest for the authentic pineapple terpene. Grateful Seeds found in Crazy Noa （Noa X Space Jam） a succulent raw pineapple flavour. In its breeding work observed how these amazing aromas were passed on to the descendants, also increasing the flower production in a remarkable way.

Along the way, the team came across a Strawberry Banana specimen from the US, which served them in their work. Strawberry Banana by DNA Genetics offers a great resin yield and a huge gland size （150μ）, making it ideal for the elaboration of concentrates. The Strawberry Banana aromas stand out for a strong cherry component, which is not true to its name. It is a plant with a compact structure and good yields.

The first cross results between Noa （Noa X Space Jam） and Strawberry Banana revealed a majority of specimens with incredible organoleptic characteristics, with the sweetness of freshly squeezed pineapple with sweet and sour notes, whilst the rotten fruit terpene disappeared. Grateful Seeds has worked extensively to find the most faithful representation of the pineapple terpene. In Pineapple Madness R2, the two best Noa x Strawberry Banana specimens were crossed, phenotype 16 and phenotype 17.
